Thank you for reading “Inert ENGENA.” I’m Masago, the author.

I started this blog with the aim of supporting ENHYPEN.

As the site administrator, I have a lot of work to do, but I will run the site with sincerity.

The writer is a newbie ENGENE (2022-) who has not been able to follow ENHYPEN’s activities since their debut.

And I’m an ENGENE of the parent generation who is loosely supporting the group.

I would like to see a real stage performance with my family someday, but I don’t have any concrete plans for now. With that in mind, I decided to attend the long-awaited solo concerts “FATE PLUS” and “WALK THE LINE”! (Updated December 3, 2024)

I have a feeling that ENHYPEN will eventually become (or maybe they already are?) a global artist out of reach to the general public, but I hope to continue my activities modestly, paying my respects to ENHYPEN and all ENGENEs who share the same aspirations.

About the personal blog “Inert ENGENA”

As information about Masago’s personal blog “Inert ENGENA,” I will summarize the origin of the title, categorization, and aims (objectives).

Origin of the blog title

The word “inert” is used chemically to describe a state of not having much activity or reaction. I named this blog “Inert ENGENA” to match my style of fan activities.

When we first launched the site, we called it “Inert ENGENE,” but we realized that the name ENGENE itself was a registered trademark… (well, actually, we should have looked into it before starting 😓), so we changed the ENGENE part to ENGENA (a friendly term for ENGENE).

ENGENA is a coined word based on ENGENE.

It was inspired by ENHYPEN’s cover performance of “Very Good” at K-CON: TACT 3 on March 27, 2021.

Blog Categorization

This blog is divided into two categories as shown in the table below.

Please note that as the number of posted articles increases, we may review the categories to ensure they are appropriately categorized.

The goal of the blog

I aim to create a website that is friendly to “newcomers” who, like me, have not been able to support ENHYPEN since their debut.

At the same time, I will also try to make the articles worth reading so that they are not rude to experienced ENGENEs who read them.

The vision of “Inert ENGENA”
  • I’m targeting people in the upper grades of elementary school and above. (Just like my eldest daughter, I’ve set this as the age group that is conscious of idols of their own volition.)
I will try to use words that are as easy to understand as possible, but depending on the content, I will add ruby to difficult words as appropriate, and I will supplement technical terms with annotations.
Of course, there is no upper limit! Seniors are also welcome!!

  • I will organize and share the information I have learned based on the parts I don’t understand well. (The perspective of a newcomer is important, and I think other new ENGENEs or potential ENGENEs probably feel the same way.)
I will use pictures and diagrams to make it easy to understand intuitively so that it can be conveyed as accurately as possible.

  • When sorting through the information we have obtained, we thoroughly verify the source and credibility of the information. Whenever possible, we will cite sources of information that serve as the basis for our articles, and provide reference links to their official websites.

Masago’s Life Story

I have, although it may be a little presumptuous, tried to summarize a brief account of my life history alongside that of ENHYPEN.

Masago's Life (2000 onwards)

Website creation skills

As the Internet began to spread throughout society during my student days, I became interested in web site creation and even set up my own personal homepage using the services of an Internet provider.

Even after entering the workforce, I was often tasked with creating homepages for my department, so I quickly acquired basic knowledge and skills such as style sheets and JavaScript.

I have also been involved in building web applications for work for many years, and have experience working to introduce IT and visualize production sites through software development.

My hobby of drawing illustrations has been rekindled

Drawing has been a hobby of mine since I was a child, so I would copy anime and manga characters and, after I started working, I would draw caricatures of people who were retiring and send them as message cards.

Due to work and housework, I no longer had any time for myself, so my interest gradually faded away…but now it seems to have flared up again.

I’m thinking of studying digital illustration and am currently preparing the environment.

I’ll keep practicing bit by bit and hope to show it off on my blog someday.
